Thisproductionof'TwelveAngryMen',writtenespeciallyforStudioOne,isshorterthanthefilmversionandleavesafewtwistsandturnsofplotundeveloped,butitisfiftyminutesofclassnevertheless.Formanyyearsthisepisodewasthoughttohavebeenlost.TheMuseumofTelevisionandRadio(nowthePaleyCenter)hadonlythefirst30minutesofthehour-longprogramonakinescopeprovidedbyCBS-theonlyversionCBShad.Afternearly30yearsofsearching,acopyofthecompleteprogramwasfoundin2003byfilmmakerJosephConsentino,whowasworkingonadocumentaryaboutnoteddefenseattorneyRobertLeibowitz(LeibowitzreportedontheCharlesA.LindberghbabykidnappingfortheNYradiostationWHN)andfoundacopyoftheshowinthearchivesmaintainedbythechildrenofLeibowitz,RobertLeibowitzandMarjorieLeibowitzFinch.SamuelLeibowitzrequestedandreceivedacommercial-freekinescopecopyof"TwelveAngryMen"fromCBSshortlyafteritairedbecauseofhisinterestinlegalissues.TheLeibowitzchildrendonatedthekinescopetothemuseumandithadare-premiereinMay2003.
